A Virtual Tour of Tous les Jours Philippines SM The Block Branch

Tous les Jours Philippines

Tous les Jours became even more enjoyable with an adorable bike as a prop.

In fact, Tutapel wanted to ride it, so much so that he became kinda frustrated when I told him, "Oh no, you can't."

Tous les Jours Philippines

Upon entering, I noticed this display, and once I processed that I was looking at Tous les Jours' signature cakes, I gasped with wide-eyed amazement.

These gorgeous cakes are the hook that draws clients to know more about Tous les Jours; the company fully understands that.

In fact, when we were there, I was competing with a male customer to capture the cakes' best angles.

Judging from the bakery's price range, you want to impress someone to buy these cakes.

Or if you're a koreanovela addict like me, you can't help but purchase one just to be a part of the Hallyu Wave in some way.

Oh, I know you want to get one right now.

Before heading to SM The Block, let me show you some of their signature cakes and price tags to help you manage your budget.

Cakes

Top:          Tous Les Jours Blueberry Berry Light Cheesecake (Php 598)

Tous les Jours Roll Cake (Php 298)

Left:    Tous les Jours Castella Roll (Php 298)

Right:  Tous les Jours Kiss Strawberry Roll (Php 498)

If you're not in the mood for cheesecakes, then rolls might be the ones you want.

They are cheaper than decorative cakes.

If you want to compare them with Red Ribbon's, for Php 298, you can already have the large Red Ribbon roll.

But then again, if you're looking for something relatively new, Tous les Jours' rolls might tickle your fancy.

Tous les Jours Financier (Php 78)

If you're not really into cakes, try this pack of Financiers instead. Oh, they were perfect!

Drinks

I became equally excited when I saw a variety of Korean drinks on the glass shelf.

I've only tried the Au Cafe Lait variants and the Binggrae Banana Milk.

It makes you want to try them all at once.

Left:    Binggrae Soy Milk (Php 38)

Right:  Seoul Milk (Php 48)

Sahmyook Black Sesame Soy Milk (Php 48)

From Left to Right:

Yakult Shikhye Korean Rice Drink (Php 48)

Lotte Let's Be Coffee (Php 38)

Maxwell House Original Coffee (Php 38)

Bread

Tous les Jours offers a plethora of bread which reminded me of BreadTalk.

Take a look, and you'll understand why.

Tous les Jours' array of bread and pastries

After snapping some photos, I was ready to get a few baked stuff.

I settled for these four goodies:

Top Left:           Tous les Jours Sweet Red Bean (Php 38)

Boasts a flaky shell and sweet red bean filling and is topped with black sesame seeds.

Top Right:         Tous les Jours Custard Cream Bread (Php 38)

Another soft bread variety that oozes with a semi-sweet cream filling.

Bottom Left:      Tous les Jours Vegetable Croquette (Php 48)

Deep-fried bread boasting a crusty topping soft center filled with a delicate blend of mashed potato and corn bits.

It's not sweet or salty, but surprisingly delicious!

Bottom Right:    Tous les Jours Milk Bun (Php 48)

Soft bread with a semi-sweet cream filling topped with choco bits.

Is Tous les Jours worth another visit?

That's a resounding YES as far as I'm concerned.

The best part about their bread is that they are less sweet than our local varieties.

That translates to taking a peek at Korean culinary arts.

And I'm not complaining at all.

Since Tous les Jours and Etude House Philippines are sister companies...

... all Etude House Pink Cardholders get free bread in their every purchase.

And the best part is in a couple of weeks, Tous les Jours SM The Block will be selling cake slices so that customers can sample each confection more affordably.

Bon Appetit!
