For the past 67 years, Estrel's has been making these uniquely delish creations incorporating "traditional, time-tested methods of home-baking" devoid of preservatives.
Estrel's Caramel Cake
I had the privilege of tasting Estrel's Freshly Baked Caramel Cake at a recent family event. Momshie Leng was gushing over it, and I couldn't help but feel the same way. The whole family, except one, was impressed by the cake's velvety-smooth chiffon cake, not-too-sweet caramel icing, and slightly buttery rose decors.
Estrel's Caramel Cake
Composed of two layers fused together by the same caramel icing smothered all over Estrel's signature cake, the resulting baked creation, though highly ornamented, was neither ostentatious nor over the top but, on the contrary, was successful in bringing a sense of warmth in every bite. And since it's not too sweet, I immersed myself in all the nostalgia repeatedly.

The only thing I've noticed, though, was when we cut through the cake, the structure got pressed a little too much, which was different from the other cakes we've had before. The lack of any preservatives or flour treatment agents was the reason, which was not bad after all.

Important Tips:
It is best to order your cake for a day or two, or even three, before your event. But if you cannot do so, you can reserve Estrel's ready-made cake, as seen above, by calling the shop as early as 8:30 am. Simply pay for it before claiming your order before 3 pm.
Since the cake lacks preservatives, consuming it in just a day, maybe two or three, is highly recommended.
