"Publish your Passions, Your Way."Thanks to blogger.com's catchy phrase, I've been reminded of my wilful disregard for this particular blog. The witty tagline helped me remember how happy and fulfilled I am whenever I write and press the publish button.
One of the things that I'm most enthusiastic about is sharing things that I find exciting and inspiring. My son is mainly a picky eater. When he was very young, he was only fond of Jollibee Chickenjoy and Jolly Spaghetti.
But now, his tastebuds have evolved. To our surprise, he's now into cream and oil-based pasta, which are not usually served in fast food joints. The whens and whys of this drastic change are still unfathomable, but we try to accommodate his wishes as long as it's within budget.
The "golden pot" reminds me of that charming Aesop Fable, "The Goose that Laid the Golden Eggs." Instead of eggs, however, a free flow of comforting tea comes out.
Shrimp Linguine. (Php 495)Seared marinated shrimp, accompanied by linguine pasta, served with haricot verts tossed in a creamy tomato Arrabiata sauce infused with Eternal Summer Tea and topped with shaved parmesan cheese.
If someone writes this beautifully, their food must be something to look forward to, right?
However, I came across some blogs downplaying that mouthwatering claim, but, in all fairness, our 19-kilometer drive wasn't put to waste when we finally sunk our teeth into the dish.
My picky eater was all praises. That's why whenever we go to Makati, it would be a crime in his oh-so-innocent mind not to have this particular pasta to-go.
It's fascinating to look at a plethora of treats placed neatly on this shiny three-tier silver tray in an ambiance of elegance. Somehow, the presentation makes these nibbles look even more yummylicious.
TWG Tea Croque Imperial (included in the Fortune Tea Time Set Menu)
We enjoyed this beauty filled with Emmental cheese, turkey ham, and a green salad. It pairs well with the Shrimp Pasta, too.
TWG Tea Macarons. ( 3 pcs are included in the Fortune Tea Time Set Menu/ Php 55/each a la carte)
My son and I are deeply fond of macarons. The TWG version is more moist than Tous le Jour's and Bizu's. Someone told me that Laduree's is as good, if not better, but I can't talk about it, for I haven't tried the latter.
TWG Scones ( 3 pcs are included in the Fortune Tea Time Set Menu/P150/2 pcs a la carte)
Although I'm a scone-gal, I find TWG's recipe toasty rather than stiff, which is a win.
I enjoyed my share with a dollop of cream and jelly on every morsel. The combo was more than enjoyable. I ordered two more scones for my boys, who couldn't help but be fascinated while I devoured those poor things. Oh well.....
TWG Napoleon Tea Ice Cream. (Php 120)
I may have trouble reciting my verb conjugation en Francais, but one thing I couldn't forget is to wish someone enjoyment from eating.
Bon appétit mon chouchou!
